Pangong Tso lake

It is the same place where a famous film 3 idiots shooting was done. This place is extremely beautiful and it should be on your itinerary. If not, then your Ladakh trip will remain incomplete. Thiksey Monastery

Thiksey Monastery is a 12-story building. Over 500 monks used to stay there, and it is considered one of the most incredible Buddhist monasteries in Ladakh. For Ladakh navigation, Thiksey Gompa will apprise you with piece of excellent knowledge about Buddhist lifestyles.

Khardung-la Pass

It is the highest mountain located 40km away from Leh and is known to be a gateway to Nubra and Shyok valleys. In 1988, only the roads were opened for vehicles to pass. Take as many pictures here as you want to enjoy the snacks. There is a shop from where you can buy momos, spring rolls, etc.

Markha Valley

Markha valley in Ladakh is the best spot for camping. If you are someone who is really interested in doing it. You can go for a trek up to some of the amazing sites such as Markha, Ski, and Hankar. Once you reach the summit, you can easily unwind with some amazing tents, and a bonfire and have time to enjoy a bonfire with strangers as well.

Nubra Valley

Nubra valley is extremely well known for its white sand deserts and double-humped camels on the site. Nubra Valley is unquestionably one of the best places to visit in Ladakh. Not only the scenic slopes of the Karakoram range but also the confluence of Sahayak.

Tso Moriri lake

It is one of the most eye-catching lakes in the Changthang region of Ladakh. Moreover, this place is also one of the most peaceful and sacred high-altitude lakes in India. In fact, it is the largest high-altitude lake entirely in Indian Territory. This mesmerizing blue pal lake is  7 KM wide at its broadest point and about 19 KM long.

Diskit Monastery

It is the largest and the oldest monastery surviving in Nubra valley. This wonderful valley was established by the Changzem Tserab Zangpo. This place also has a famous Maitreya Buddha statue which is the 100th highest.

Shanti Stupa

This is a Buddha’s place with white-dome on a hilltop in Chanspa. Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu is the founder of this place. This place is not only famous for its religious significance but also for its incredible views and landscape.

Royal Leh Palace

This palace is famously known as Leh Palace. It is a nine-story high palace; the upper floors are for the royal families, and on the lower floors, there are store rooms. Most of the area in the palace is in a deteriorated condition. In the palace, there is also one museum that holds a rich collection of jewelry, crowns, and many other things.

Namgyal Tsemo Gompa

This was built by a king, Tashi Namgyal Tsemo in 1430. This place has a statue of Buddha known as the laughing Buddha which most of us used to have in our home, but this one is really huge, is a three-story high gold.

Magnetic Hill

Has it ever happened to you? You are in a vehicle, and it’s running itself. That too on an upward slope? There is a road near Ladakh’s capital, Leh, where something similar happens. But what is the mystery behind it? It is because of the magnetic hill, where your car starts and runs on its own. This is a totally different experience on its own.

Zanskar Valley

This is one of the most adventurous places, 4 to 5 years back people used to reach this valley with the help of horses. But now you can reach there easily. The starting road is smooth, but after that, it will become rough with stones and mud. The roads in Zanskar valley are thrilling and amazingly incredible that you will start feeling like you are in a different world. In this valley, there are places Shinkula passes, Mt. Gongo Rangjom, Purne, Ichar village, and Padum Kargil.
